Climate Protection - Offset Jet Flights
As the request for climate protection is rising due to global warming, MiGFlug decided to proactively introduce a climate protection package for jet flights.
We hope to protect our customers from any conflict of interest they may have, so that they can enjoy their stunning jet flight and at the same time know emissions generated are being offset.
The investment our customers make in offsetting the CO2 generated will be used to fund the climate protection projects of the highest standard. The purchase of carbon credits to offset your flight will contribute directly to the growth of renewable energy projects. Our climate protection partner, Offset the Rest, prefers to invest in Gold Standard projects that have sustainable development benefits and guaranteed environmental integrity.
All Offset the Rest projects must follow the following criteria:
- Keep C02 in the ground by using renewable energy and therefore
prevent greenhouse gas emissions
- Assist in building a long term solution to global warming
- Be independently verified for environmental integrity by a
validated third party
- Be additional in that they go beyond ‘business as usual'. The reductions
from the project need to be additional to what would have happened if
the project had not been carried out
- Provide a real time impact by reducing carbon emissions at the time the
customer chooses to offset
